Petar Mandjoukov donates a high-end mobile radiographic unit to St. Panteleymon Hospital

A most advanced mobile radiographic unit has been received by the Plovdiv hospital St. Panteleymon. The apparatus is a donation from the Plovdiv businessman Petar Mandjoukov.

It was manufactured in April this year, has digital interface and can operate by the bedside of different patients meaning that it can be moved and used by the pulmology, traumatology, internal diseases and neurology wards, among others.

The donated unit costs between 100,000 and 120,000 BGN. Now the donor, Mr. Petar Mandjoukov, urges the business community of Plovdiv to follow his example.

„We had a mobile unit before, but a 30-year-old one, which was already hard to use“, said the hospital’s manager Dr. Konstantin Sapundjiev, who accepted the new machine.

He shares that the hospital is already resuming its activity after the Covid-related state of emergency and is now functioning at 50-60% capacity.

The ceremony was also attended by the mayor Zdravko Dimitrov, the chair of the Municipal Council Alexander Darzhikov and the Plovdiv Metropolitan Bishop Nikolay.

To mark the occasion, the mayor presented a special gift to Petar Mandjoukov – a ceramic work depicting the Old Town.
